    Moments

    • Added 50MB and 100MB clip size options for Discord share and Export. Discord Nitro subscribers can get much better-looking clips with these larger sizes.
    • Added a “Show all clips” button after the first 50 clips in the Moments gallery. This gives a massive performance boost for users with 100+ clips.
    • Fixed a bug that would show newly-saved clips as 0:00 duration.
    • New Moments autoclips will be named to show what triggered it. For example, the 3K+ autoclip for CS:GO will be saved with the name to “Autoclip: 3+ kill round”.
    • Roblox installed from the Microsoft Store is now detected and captured properly.
    • Screen-captured games that are moved to another monitor will have the capture restart on the new monitor.
    • Timeline in the Moments editor can be made shorter or taller by resizing with the handle.

    Engine Bug fixes

    • Fixed a bug preventing connected devices from displaying when logging in and out of multiple SteelSeries accounts
    • Fixed an issue on the Arctis 9 wherein selecting the “Never” option in the Auto Shut-Off widget would cause the headset to immediately turn off
    • Partially fixed an issue where certain devices with out of date firmware would not prompt to update to the latest firmware
    • Fixed an issue where the Deactivate Keybinding option did not work on certain MSI keyboards, and removed certain binding types that do not apply to those keyboards

    Engine features

    • On the Arctis 9, you can now customize the behavior of game audio on PC when you receive a BT call
    • On Prime Wireless, you can re-pair your dongle and mouse if they come unpaired, or if you purchase a new dongle
    • Added recovery mode support for Prime Wireless
    • Added an accurate render for the Apex 3 Israeli layout (available in Region selector dropdown)

    New Firmware

    • Arctis 9 - EQ settings now transfer to PlayStation

    Here’s what we changed:

    • Fixed one major case where GG wouldn’t load for some users. This bug was caused by certain non-standard folder permissions on user PCs. If you were seeing this bug, please try again with 4.0 or higher.
    • The “SteelSeries Capture Service Launcher” process should no longer run if Moments capture is disabled. With this change, there is no Moments related processing that occurs at all when Moments is ‘off’.
    • Shared or Exported clips will keep their native resolution when sharing or exporting, instead of getting upscaled to your capture resolution.
    • Newly exported clips will get a small quality increase.
    • The fix for CS:GO and other screen-captured games choosing the wrong monitor from Beta is now available for everyone
    • Fixed a bug when clicking the a GIF in the Effects menu would add a GIF multiple times
    • Fixed the light bar not working on MSI GE66 and GE76
    • Fixed extra files not being deleted when uninstalling GG

    Here’s what we changed:

    • Moments capture is now correctly defaulted to off. Some users erroneously had Moments capture enabled without turning it on themselves, but now capture should only start if it’s been explicitly enabled.
    • Fixed a crash when placing the start of a GIF before the clip trim area

    Here’s what we changed:

    • Moments overlay is now smaller. Additionally, the graphic should scale with the clip resolution, so no more giant overlay on smaller resolution clips.
    • Disabling Moments capture is now clearly shown with an icon in GG’s main navigation. As always, if Moments capture is disabled, no games will be captured and game performance will be completely unaffected.
    • Effects: make perfect GIF loops! Dragging the start and end points of a GIF in the timeline will ‘snap’ to the next loop of the GIF. Really handy – we love this change.
    • Effects: clicking the ‘Moments clip’ label in the timeline area will scrub to the beginning of the clip
    • Effects: any empty text effects will be removed from a clip, instead of displaying nothing
    • Effects: hovering over an added effect will highlight the corresponding timeline layer, and vice versa
    • Effects: fixed the editor shortcuts still being active while typing text inside text effects (apologies to the letters J and K)
    • Capturing more Vulkan-based games should be fully supported
    • PCs with multiple video cards, especially laptops, should now get the more powerful video card chosen for capture encoding
    • Fixed an issue where screen-captured clip footage would be all black
    • Fixed a case where a horizontal scrollbar would appear in the gallery at certain sizes
    • Engine: fixed an issue wherein selecting the “Default” binding on the CPI button on the Rival 3, after the CPI button’s binding had already been changed, would incorrectly select Mouse Button 6 as the Default.

    If you’re opted into Beta

    • Experimental fix for CS:GO and other screen-captured games choosing the wrong monitor in multi-monitor setups.

    • Capture should work for virtually all Vulkan games. If you’re still having issues capturing a Vulkan game after this update, please let us know.
    • Fixed an issue where League of Legends wasn’t saving autoclips or showing events inside saved clips
    • Effects: the duration of newly added GIFs will be a single loop (unless they’re under 1 second long)
    • Moments tour capture step now has a link to the official capture issue article
    • Moments tour can now be skipped from any step
    • Dota 2 and CS:GO device integrations have been re-enabled by default, under Engine -> Apps

    Here’s what we changed:

    • Fixed an issue where CS:GO and Dota 2 wouldn’t save autoclips after GG was started
    • Moments overlay will be applied to all clips shared via the Share window. Exported clips won’t have the overlay unless it’s turned on from Settings.

    • Effects: pressing spacebar to play/pause clips should now work correctly after opening the context menu for an effect layer
    • Changing video quality should correctly update when changed while a game is open now
    • Fixed an issue where you couldn’t use spacebar to play/pause after clicking the ‘play again’ button

    Here’s what we changed:

    • New clip effect: GIFs! Search Giphy to add your favorite reaction GIFs to your clips from inside the Effects menu. Hype.
    • Duplicate effects. Really helpful for making text captions.
    • Text effects: text editing is now center-aligned by default.
    • OLED notifications for Moments have been turned off by default. These notifications cause some users with OLED devices to see a CPU usage spike during game launch. We’re looking into it, since we want these back on ASAP. You can still turn them on in Settings -> Notifications.
    • Fixed a bug where turning off all Moments OLED notifications would still disable animated GIFs on device OLEDs while gaming, and the lighting would blink & reset on game launch.
    • Fixed Minecraft Java Edition not getting detected correctly
